On another topic I finally decided to string up a wire dipole in my trees since I have been off HF for more than a year.
What a pleasant surprise to have the old Heathkit come to life and I could not believe how crowded the bands are. It is really good to hear so much activity.
I listened to a QRP SSB net and I could hear quite a few signals. Passing through 14.230 I heard the distinct warble of a SSTV signal. I turned up the audio mixer and a very clean image came through on MMSSTV from W9ALK - good fun.
Anyway I hope to see you on Tuesday evening.
