Hello SARC and Friends
Tuesday is radio build day.
Since Rome wasn't built in one day I expect the radio will take at least 2 sessions. We will build the control and display board first then the RF coil board, The location and time is below. Please be on time so we can get a prompt start.
Please let me know by email if you are coming tomorrow so we can have right number of tables ready.
Also please make or bring your final payment if you haven't done so already.
Suggested items to bring.
Work light, magnifying glasses, temp controlled soldering iron with tip cleaner, 22 to 26 AWG solder, solder sucker and or braid (I will have lots of solder available so this is optional), #1 cross head screw driver, wire cutter and needle nose pliers.
A soldering iron will be available if you don't have a suitable one.
Optional items. Power bar, multi-meter, circuit board holder, ice cube tray to sort the parts ( I picked up 8 of them from the dollar store so don't worry if you don't have one), steady hands, patience, coffee or drink and a smile. This is going to be fun.
I will print out the assembly instructions.
For those picking up their assembled radios or the curious please stick around for the fun.
We have lots of experienced builders and talent in the club so please feel welcome to ask for help.
