The meeting opened at 7:45 p.m. held at the Club Meeting Room, with Vice-President Audrey, VA3YD in the Chair.

After a few brief announcements, Audrey welcomed all to the 59th Annual Anniversary and Awards Evening.

The first order of business was the presentation of awards. It was noted that Bob, VE3IEL brought a cake but could not stay due to illness, therefore the Past President's Award will be presented to Bob at the May 9th meeting. Our President Steve, VA3DUN could not be present as he was away in the U.S.A. getting a new guide dog and we wish both him and Bob well.

Gord, VE3CNA read a message from our President Steven VA3DUN about this years recipient of the Amateur of the Year Award. Gord presented the Amateur of the Year Award to Lauri, VA3SLA. Lauri thanked the members for their support and for nominating her for Amateur of the Year Award.

Lauri, VA3SLA read a message from President Steve, VA3DUN about this years' president's award recipient. This years' recipient was Nick Blacklock, VE3EBC. Nick thanked Lauri for the honour of receiving this Award.

Audrey VA3YD said a few words about this years' recipient of the Jim Hildreth Memorial Award. This year's recipient was Gord Hogarth, VE3CNA. Gord thanked the Executive for honouring him with this award.

A draw was held for a man's and ladies prize that was followed by the 50-50 draw won by Jim, VA3KU which he donated to the club. For second and third prize a T shirt and an apron were won.

Adjourned for the Anniversary party and social.

Gord, VE3CNA displayed some memorabilia from our archives.

There were about 45 people in attendance and a good time was had by all.

Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
