Please remember no antenna work can be done in the summer in Canada. The results are not the same when compared to work done at minus something awful in the winter.
This will be a hybrid Zoom and live meeting at the Don Montgomery Centre, Seniors Room 8:00 PM. Please remember to enter the back parking lot from Benjamin Blvd. ( 1st street west off Midland south of Eglinton Ave. )

IMPORTANT Reminder August 22 via google meet @ 19:00 Aux Communications Test planning meeting as outlined below.
Here is a reminder of the opportunity to learn about the emergency auxiliary communications program being established by ACS to train amateur radio operators. This is a training program for amateur radio operators to learn how to provide essential emergency communications as may be required during catastrophic events.
Please join tomorrow's meeting to discover more about how you can become an on call radio operator should the need arise. HAM radio has historically provided the essential communications link when other systems have failed during emergency events. This training is an extension of our contribution to disaster communications at the time of need.

Hello Everyone,
This email has been sent to 15 clubs or members in the Golden Horseshoe Section. Please pass the information on to club members or groups that may be interested in participating.
Members of the Auxiliary Communications Section for the Golden Horseshoe are planning a SET for September 20th 2025.
The geographic location for this simulated emergency test will encompass the GH Section only. The purpose is to observe and report our radios, repeaters, and skills in the event of an area wide emergency. The estimated time is 08:00 to 11:30 a.m., following up with a 30 minute debrief.
Using Voice and Winlink, the scenario will be weather based with the assignment of a specific environment incident to each of the local registered areas.
Those that wish to participate will be asked to attend our next planning meeting on August 22nd via google meet at 19:00 p.m., as well, be able to provide your club COMMS plan if available.
