Hello SARC and friends
It is good to be back from Winterpeg. It was like stepping back to January with -20 temperatures and knee high snow banks.
This will be a Hybrid / Zoom meeting Tuesday Apr 11 at 7:30 pm, at the Don Montgomery Centre Eglinton and Kennedy as well as online by Zoom. The Zoom details appear below.
There are several things to discuss and hopefully we can finalize some and move forward.
Postcard Campaign:
The postcard campaign will begin in 2 weeks. The cards will be printed by then and the address labels are in production based on the top 100 viable call signs from the Excel data. We need someone from the club with a Costco account to pick up the stamps. The club will reimburse the expense.
Field Day:
We have the green light from the Bluffers Park Yacht Club to use their location again thanks to Dave Blizzard VE3SVL. This will again be a joint venture with the Toronto Amateur Club like we did last year. We will use their call sign for the contacts this year. Please let's begin the preparations early so we have a good plan for this event. Field Day is always a fun event and hopefully we can make this one even more fun than last year. Your ideas are welcome.
Transceiver project:

Let's kick off the order process and gather the names of those interested in purchasing this radio so we can plan the delivery and build.
For all practical purposes the DL2MAN (tr)uSDX is our target build. Single unit pricing for the full parts kit is 86.00 USD. The case is available for 19.90 USD with the 18650 battery case option for 24.00 USD. We also have the possibility of having these made locally with some custom enhancements.
