Hello SARC and Friends
Where: Grey Abbey Park (located at the end of Morningside Avenue turn left on to Grey Abbey Trail) setup around noon. The location is ideal for antenna testing with an open view over the lake and no buildings nearby. There are no washroom facilities. The GO station down Kingston road is available for washrooms.

This is a reminder that the SARC Antenna Day weather is looking good for this Saturday. Please join us for a fun afternoon of playing around with what ever can be made into and antenna for amateur radio. So please bring along what ever you would like to try out as an experimental antenna. Bring along a radio if you wish to give it a field shake down. This is also time to check out your emergency power devices such as battery packs, small generators etc. Unfortunately my VNA is broken so if you have some test equipment please bring it along. Bring along hot beverages, light jacket to stave off the chill. This could be a lot of fun. There will be a couple of tables under a popup gazebo for the radios and test gear. I will be bringing some coax, AC power extension cords and chairs. The location is ideal for antenna testing with an open view over the lake and no buildings nearby.

I am building a prototype of the led passive antenna tuner and will test out the antenna clothesline reels with the (tr)uSDX transceiver. Once I know the tuner works I have thought of a modification to extend its range to cover 80 through 10 meters. This could become the next club kit build.

Get ready to have some radio fun and bring along anything you want to try out as an antenna. There have been some very interesting designs appear in the park.

The weather looks good and a light jacket is recommended since we are close to the lake. Yes there will be tin hats.

This is open to all our radio friends so please feel welcome to drop by.
