The next meeting of SARC will be on Monday, December 10, 2018 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Don Montgomery Centre. Lots of parking at the rear of the building.
Meeting dates for early January (to be confirmed) are planned for January 14, 2019 and February 13, 2019. Arrangements will be made and firm dates for 2019 will be announced later.
At the meeting on December 10 it is hoped that we will either elect or acclaim a new President and Vice-President. Ray will remain as Secretary and Lambert will remain as Treasurer. There may be other vacancies to fill as well.
Other business may be conducted and hopefully there will be a bit of Christmas cheer.
All the best and hope to see you at the meeting. Bring a friend or friends.

Hello To Everyone:
Just a reminder that the next meeting of Scarborough ARC will be held a week from today, Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Don Montgomery Centre as before. Starting time about 7:00 pm and our guest speaker will be Stan Leschinsky, VE3TW of Radio Amateurs of Canada.
Stan is an Assistant Director of RAC for Ontario South, Greater Toronto Area. He is active on HF and is very enthusiastic about contest operation.
I have invited members of South Pickering ARC to join with us to hear Stan and renew old friendships.
All are welcome including members of other clubs including the Toronto ARC. Pardon me if I have forgotten anyone.
Come and bring a friend or two and help SARC begin the Fall 2018 season.

Glenwood Trading Company Ltd., operated a mail-order, retail business supplying Canadian 'Hams' with a variety of equipment, books and supplies.
Their catalogues were about 50 pages including the cover and measured 7 1/2" X 10 1/2".
Glenwood's start and ending dates of operation are not known at this time. If anyone has information about the company, or other information about them, please let us know.
These catalogues date to 1982 - 1984 and tell us much about the state of the art of Canadian Ham Radio equipment and prices in that era.
These catalogues were purchased from "Mario the Tube Man" at the Durham Hamfest of April 18, 2018.
The annual Scarborough Mandarin MS Walk returns to Guild Park this year. The walk takes place on Sunday, May 6 from 8:30 to about 12:00 (check-in is at 8:30, walk starts at 10:00).
