Hello SARC and Friends

The renewal for the Montgomery Centre has been completed and the space is available for club meetings. Therefore this Tuesday will be both an in person and Zoom meeting.

The Don Montgomery Community Centre parking lot is accessed by going west on Benjamin Blvd (first city street south of Eglinton off of Midland Avenue). Follow Benjamin to where it makes a 90 degree turn south. A turn north at this junction will provide access to the rear parking lot. The meeting room is the Seniors room located on the 2nd floor. An elevator is available.

This meeting will be dedicated to the election process to determine the new club executive. The executive positions are president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer.

More detail will be discussed concerning the roles and expectations of these positions during the meeting. The nomination procedure will also be discussed. The elections will be held two weeks following this Tuesday's meeting on March 3 during another hybrid Zoom meeting based on the nominations received. If sufficient nominations are not received then the dissolution of the club will be discussed.

The next two meetings are of great importance and the future of the club depends on your participation. There is plenty of time to make your decision on whether you wish to adopt an executive position. I anticipate those who have expressed interest by their postings will be eager to participate.

The nominations will close the during the March 3rd meeting and the election will be held.

There are plenty of opinions on how the club should move forward. Let's have a good turn out for the next two meetings to show there is a keen interest in advancing SARC to carry it on through the future.
