Scarborough Amateur Radio Club
General Meeting
12 December 2012

This meeting took place at the Don Montgomery Community Recreation Centre, 2467 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario.

President Ralph Muecke VE3VXY called the meeting to order at 7:20 PM.

Stewart Russell VA3PID and Antonio Tiongson VE3FDU stepped down from the Executive. The remaining members of the 2012 Board of Directors and Executive Panel indicated that they would stand for re-election. Prem VA3UMA also nominated Ralph VE3VXY as President and Ray VE3ZXC as Secretary. No other nominations were received before tonight. There were no nominations from the floor, so nominations were closed. All members were acclaimed.

Gord VE3CNA thanked the members of the outgoing executive for their work in 2012.

Heber Down site is no longer available for Field Day, since the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority has told us they can no longer secure the facility, and are closing it down. We will look into sharing a site with other clubs.

Meeting room is secure – the city is very good to us and charges us only a nominal fee for administration.

Bob VE3IEL would like to start a net on CQ100 on Sunday at 11 AM. He asked Gord VE3CNA if he would allow use of the VE3WE call sign for this net. Gord approved.

Ralph spoke about the D-Star nets on TFMCS repeaters.

Asif Joy VA3SIF donated some items to the club which will be sold at auction. Asif is moving to the US and thanked all the members of the club for their help and support over the past few years.

As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8 PM to allow the Christmas Party to proceed.
