Scarborough Amateur Radio Club Field Day 2011 has concluded. This year there were food, internet, wobbly antennas, QRMs, over- performing generators and, above all, lots of fun.

I would like to thank everybody who participated. This was our first time at this location but everybody worked together and made the best use of a somewhat limited area.

I would like to thank Ted VE3TSG and his wonderful family for joining us. Ted made a lot of QSO on 40M, Michelle made us some wonderful BBQ. Their son, Michael   kept Arpad, VA3VAD occupied while their six year old daughter became a friend of my 4 year old son.  Thank you Ami for taking the time besides your studies for making those QSO’s on 15M. Good luck on your exam.

I would personally like to thank Ralph VE3VXY and Nick VE3EBC and Rod,VE3SOY for helping me organize this year's field day.

Kudos for Jen, XYL of Nick, for making those numerous calls and finding us this field day site.

I would also like to thank the following who either camped in or dropped by: ( in no particular order)  Dwaine (VE3GIF),  Edgar (VE3WTR) , Arpad (VA3VAD), Bernardine (VE3YDB), Hugh(VE3HAG), Antonio (VE3FDU), Ray(VE3ZXC), Ian(VA3IGD), Chris(VE3CLT) and Stewart(VA3PID).

Also, we missed everybody who couldn’t make it. Hope to see all of you next year.

I will submit our QSO’s to ARRL in coming weeks. I will post the results on the website as soon as I have it.

 Thanks

and 73 de VA3SIF

P.S. I apologize in advance if I left anybody out.
